Weeks became months which became years as the boy's family settled into their new life.

His father was now making enough money that they didn't have to wonder what the future would hold, no longer needed to live day by day in fear of everything crashing down.

That's not to say life had become easy.

The boy and his family still didn't speak the same way as others, and English was hard to learn.

The boy, now in school, had trouble making friends and other children would bully him about his accent or because of where he came from.
